GEO — being findable inside AI answers

People increasingly ask an assistant instead of scrolling a results page. Some of what makes you citable is just good SEO wearing a new name; some of it is genuinely new; and a lot of what gets sold as GEO is guesswork. I’ll tell you which is which.

Usually bolted onto SEO rather than sold separately. If your technical foundations aren’t there yet, that comes first.

How I work — in order

  1. Measure where you stand

What the assistants say today about your brand and your category, and who they cite instead of you.

  2. Make the facts machine-readable

Structured data, consistent entity information, sources that agree with each other.

  3. Write answers, not pages

Content that resolves a question in a paragraph a model can lift, with the detail underneath it.

  4. Report honestly

What moved, what didn’t, and which part of it we still can’t attribute. This channel is young.

What you get

  • A baseline of how assistants currently describe your brand
  • Schema and entity data that agree across your site and the web
  • Content restructured so it can be quoted, not just ranked
  • A clear line between what is proven and what is a bet

What I need from you

  • CMS and Search Console access
  • Your product and brand facts, from a source you trust
  • Appetite for a channel without a reliable dashboard yet
  • Permission to say "we don’t know" out loud

Fair questions

About GEO specifically.

Is GEO not just SEO with a new name?

Largely, yes — crawlability, structured data, clear answers and being a credible source all carry over. The genuinely new parts are how answers get assembled and cited, and how little of it you can measure. Anyone selling certainty here is ahead of the evidence.

Can you guarantee I get cited?

No. I can make you the most citable version of yourself and show you when it happens. That’s the honest offer.

Should I block AI crawlers or let them in?

For most webshops, let them in — being absent from the answer isn’t protection, it’s invisibility. If your value is in proprietary content rather than in selling products, the calculation is different, and we should talk it through.

Curious what the assistants say about your brand?

Mail me your domain — I’ll run the check and send you what comes back.
